Dona Ana County Search and Rescue (DACSAR) is an all-volunteer non-profit Search and Rescue (SAR) team based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. WE search for, locate and rescue those who have gone missing in wilderness areas and along urban margins. WE dedicate time, energy and resources each month to train, support SAR missions and run the team. WE consist of people like you, who enjoy activities such as hiking, biking, hunting, climbing, and camping. The primary requirement for membership is an interest in wilderness search and rescue and a desire to serve our New Mexico community. By joining search and rescue YOU develop knowledge and skills in: wilderness preparedness, tracking and survival; first-aid and CPR; GPS and map & compass navigation; and search techniques. Developing this knowledge and these skills YOU become more attuned to your environment and often enhance your personal wilderness experience. If you have an interest in the outdoors and want to give back to your community… JOIN US! Member
